Georgia—
Georgia is located in the southeastern region of the United States. Many people visit the state on their way to Florida, or stop into the busiest airport in the country on a layover for another destination. I've been to Atlanta a couple of times, and went to Athens one year in college for a basketball tournament. That was a quaint little town that I remember had the big frat houses with the huge front porches with rocking chairs on them, and had some seriously polite people.
Atlanta was a fun city to visit, I've had several stops in the airport, and drove down a couple of summers ago to watch a Braves game on the 4th of July. Got to visit the CNN building and walk around downtown. It's a great place to visit. The people were all pretty friendly, and seemed to be happy that people were visiting.
One of the cities on my "US Bucket list" is Savannah. I have heard and seen some amazing stories/photos of this town, and plan on visiting sometime soon.

Climate
Georgia is located in the south eastern region of the country, and
thus has a subtropical climate. With it’s proximity to the Atlantic Ocean,
Georgia is vulnerable to hurricanes, although they rarely experience a direct
hit. Surprisingly Georgia is one of the
leading states in frequency of tornadoes, however they are rarely stronger than
an F1, and typically do not appear inside city limits. The damage is usually
minimal.
The highest temperature ever recorded in Georgia was 112 degrees
in 1952 in Louisville, and the lowest recorded temperature is -17 degrees in
1940 in Floyd County. Georgia receives
moderate to heavy precipitation, averaging anywhere from 45 inches annually to
75 inches in the northern part of the state.
The temperature in the winter months ranges in the 50’s and 60’s and in the summer months can climb into the 90’s
with higher than normal humidity, making it feel much warmer than it is.
