Delaware is the 2nd smallest state in the nation,
however it ranks 6th in population density. Delaware is only 96
miles long, and ranges from 9 miles wide, to 35 miles at its widest point. You
could do a day trip through the state and be able to visit all 3 of their
counties, and still have time left to visit one of the neighboring states!

Climate
Due to the location of the state, the effects of the Atlantic
ocean moderates the climate. Even though the state is small in size, the
different regions of the state can experience a variation in temperature and amount
of snowfall.
The highest recorded temperature is 110 degrees on 7/21/30 with the coldest being -17degrees on
1/17/93. Both of these extreme temperatures
were recorded in Millsboro Delaware.
